I always looked for Kiffles that were made per my grandmother's recipe, which she brought to the country in the early 1900 from Austria. That was fitting since kiffles were started in the 1800s in Austria. My aunt Rosie made them the same way my grandmother did, but living in Allentown, PA. In 82 years there was only one other person who equalled the same quality. Her effort is more occasional and concentrated within her family. Kitchen Kiffles were discovered by me when watching the film about St. Nick in Bethlehem. My hopes were guarded. Now having tasted the kiffles from Kiffle Kitchen, I can say they live up to the quality I was used to and glad to know they are being made in the Lehigh Valley. Thank you.
